Sesame Mushroom with Black Rice

 Sesame Mushrooms and Black Rice

Serves: 2

Time: 30 minutes

Skill level: Easy 


1 teaspoon of  garlic powder

1 teaspoon of ginger grated

1 tablespoon of hot sauce

1/2 a cup tamari

1 tablespoon of miso

1 spring onion sliced thin

1 teaspoon of coriander powder

2 tablespoon of maple syrup

1 tablespoon of sesame oil

Juice of 1 lime

2 cups chopped mixed mushrooms medium pieces

1/2 a cup of cooked black rice

1 cup of water


  1. Place all ingredients except rice in a bowl and mix well. Set to side and marinade for 20 minutes
  2. Once your mushrooms have marinated for 20 minutes Heat a large  frying pan on medium heat with coconut oil
  3. Add the mushrooms to the frying pan leaving sauce behind for later. Cook for 5 minutes or until golden. Then add the remaining sauce and stir through. Cook for another minute. Then remove from heat and serve
  4. Serve with black rice, fresh herbs and sesame seeds.
