Easy peasy bean burrito’s

Bean Burritos

   Skill level:               Easy 


1 can of rinsed drained black beans 

1 small jar favourite red sauce, I use the Jamie Oliver chilli and olive

1 teaspoon of paprika 

1 teaspoon of garlic powder

1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper 

1/4 cup of nutritional yeast 

1/4 of green onion sliced thin 

2 tablespoons vegan spicy mayo 

1 tablespoon of sriracha sauce 

2 spinach burrito wraps 

1/4 cup of red cabbage shredded fine 

1/4  cup of sprouts 

1/2 an avocado mashed 


1. Start by placing burritos in an oven on 50 degrees for 5 mins to lightly warm
2. After this put a medium saucepan on medium heat
3. Add your beans, spices, red sauce, onion and nutritional yeast into the saucepan and heat gently
4. Next, start to mash the beans lightly with a potato masher until a nice texture is achieved
5. Once your beans are nice and warm
6. Remove from heat and get ready to fill burritos
7. Take the burritos out from the oven and layer with red cabbage, sprouts, avocado and mayo.
8. Add your bean mix on top and add hot sauce if you like
9. Then wrap and enjoy
